MKC @ The Movies: Son of God Reflection

Our inaugural MKC at the Movies trip was a complete success!

This past Friday our MKC teens took a trip to see the movie "Son of God". The experience was a shared experience of awe, excitement, and reverence. The theater fell silent and remained that way after the lights came up. Our teens congregated in the foyer to discuss their experience...

"Awesome."

"Amen."

"I understand the story better."

"Everyone's not your friend."

"That was unconditional love."

"I felt the pain."

"It was very inspiring."

"I learned a lot."

"i feel I believe more."

This experience is important. For some of our teens, this was their first time confronting the Crucifixion and Resurrection in a visible, social way. They were able to share their thoughts and beliefs in a peer group.

The teens are excited, and have asked to learn more about the life and times of Jesus Christ.

We are so excited to see this spark of Faith ignited!
