Yesterday the talented Ms.Tolish came and facilitated her second Poetry Madness session. The students talked about poems by Robert Frost, Maya Angelou, and Langston Hughes.
After examining the works, the students came up with their own poetry about "emotions".
Shame
Is a drowning fish
Having no home
Disgracing every ancestor in its history

Swimming gracefully
In the calm waters of the ocean
Without a care in the world.

Is a spiraling bat
Flitting, dodging, left to right
Returning to the dark eaves of the house
Not knowing where it belongs.
